Chapter Four: Two worlds
When he awoke he saw the entrance to Storm Asylum. The sky was gray and the screams of madness where heard through the night. John was in a straight jacket and had chains binding his legs together. Two men in white scrubs appeared and carried John inside. The lights were as bright as the sun; John’s eyes were harmed by the bright lights. A door was open and he was thrown in a cell. It had a door made of metal and supposedly impenetrable. The bed was a twin size and had white sheets covering it. There was a window with bars covering it. He peered out and watched the sun light up the darkness. The evils of the dark had been seized, for now.
He
remembered when he once gazed upon the sunrise with his family. He was only a
boy then now he was a monster. The sun rise always meant the good in the world
had awoken and the evil was put to rest. He slept in his stomach so the
position was not too unbearable.
He had a dream, he was in the woods and on one side there was a sun rise more beautiful than the world it’s self. On the other side was darkness black as night. He began walking towards the sun light then inside a voice spoke. “John, look at this world for what it really is.” When he looked into the light he saw the sun beginning to set. The whole world turned to darkness. “This is what your future holds nothing more than silence and sorrow.” He saw a wolf approach him. “You alone can’t avoid the inevitable, but together we can change our fate. I have always feared the darkness but now it has consumed me. With Erin gone I might as well be dead in the light nothing more than a ravaged corpse remains. Together we shall avenger her. We are a beast cursed to live in the darkness then I say let it consume my enemies. We are one, I am Lone Wolf.”
